Daffodil Hill

Enjoy 4 acres of daffodils with over 300,000 bulbs at this beautiful private farm Mid-March through Mid April. The season opens each spring. The hours are 9-5 daily when open.

Today, much of the landscape is covered with more than 300 named varieties of daffodils. For the last twenty years, the McLaughlins have continued to plant up to 6,000 new bulbs a year.

Daffodil Hill is located in an alpine setting at an elevation of approximately 3,000 feet, an old barn, wagon wheels and rusting mining equipment add to the ambiance of the area.

During the mining era, Daffodil Hill was a regular stopping place for workers hauling timber from the Sierras down to the Kennedy and Argonaut Mines.

The schedule for public viewing is established based on the exit of winter and the spring time weather. It opens when about 25 percent of the flowers are in bloom and closes when only 25 percent remain. The season is usually from the end of March through the first three weeks of April.
